1.
I sing at the turning of the year When the frost melts quickly on the grass Leaves are fresh, and the sky washed clear And I know that the winter is past All praise to you! All praise to you! All the earth awakens from its thrall No more gloom of death to be seen Stately trees obey the season’s call And rejoice in a thousand shades of green All praise to you! All praise to you! Each day a new promise I find New hearing, new sight The call of the spirit, the opening of my mind Your voice rings out – “Let there be light!” Through the clouds a ray of light I see And a rainbow shimmers in the sky Colours blend and an archway beckons me To a hope first heard in ancient times All praise to you! All praise to you!

Seasons 07:45
Frozen rivers, winter sky Leaves in springtime, swallows flight Summer clouds go drifting by Days grow shorter, bringing autumn nights Stars that speak infinity Living things of every kind Glimpses of eternity Weaving spells in every human mind Imagination never bound Hearts and spirits roaming free New directions ever found Limitless his love for you and me Limitless your gifts of love Framed with care beyond all art All the good things from above Planting seeds in every human heart All this bounty has a cost For it all your life you gave From the manger to the cross Dead and buried – yet you rose again!. For no distant God are you Absent, watching from afar Kind and gracious, faithful, true You came down to be just where we are Gave yourself new life to bring Brought salvation to the earth Summer, autumn, winter, spring Seasons pass, the world awaits Groaning and expecting its new birth Even so, Lord Jesus, come Take your longing people home Rule us from your golden throne Even so, Lord Jesus, come
3.
Oh Lord, I cry to you, come quickly to me Hear my voice when I cry to you, come quickly to me Let my prayer be set before you like incense As I lift my hands in sacrifice Keep the door of my lips, O Lord, keep watch over me My heart is drawn to evil things, keep watch over me Let the righteous man reprove and chastise me It’s the oil of kindness on my head Hear my cry Hear my cry For my eyes look only to you, O Lord my God And my spirit trusts in you, O Lord my God Keep me from the snares that men have laid for me As the wicked fall I walk safely by Hear my cry Hear my cry

A warm day 09:01
5.
Writer of history’s pages, keeper of the book of time Goal of saints and sages, wisdom hidden and wisdom sublime Light come down from heaven, walking in the world you made For salvation given, alone, forsaken and by your world betrayed Giver of the Spirit - friend, companion, source of power Walking in my presence day by day and hour by hour Bringing heaven close to me Living wide and living free

Promise 09:40
1. O Jesus, I have promised to serve thee to the end; be thou forever near me, my Master and my friend. I shall not fear the battle if thou art by my side, nor wander from the pathway if thou wilt be my guide. 2. O let me feel thee near me! The world is ever near; I see the sights that dazzle, the tempting sounds I hear; my foes are ever near me, around me and within; but Jesus, draw thou nearer, and shield my soul from sin. 3. O let me hear thee speaking in accents clear and still, above the storms of passion, the murmurs of self-will. O speak to reassure me, to hasten or control; O speak, and make me listen, thou guardian of my soul. 4. O Jesus, thou hast promised to all who follow thee that where thou art in glory there shall thy servant be. And Jesus, I have promised to serve thee to the end; O give me grace to follow, my Master and my Friend.

about

Everyone is making a lockdown album, so why should I be any different? Early on there was a Facebook question about your ten most influential albums. A lot of what I’ve really enjoyed listening to is prog rock. So I realised that what the world needs is more Moogs, Mellotrons and long guitar solos. And why isn’t there any prog rock worship music? Well, there is now.

Of course, the people who will get what I’m doing on this album will be the ones who know what it really should sound like. Still, here it is, and lockdown is nearly over, so I probably won’t do it again. At least it might make you go and listen again to proper prog rock music.
